This is to tell my followers of one golden rule. Don't take it personally, though.
I really appreciate all the support I get from my followers (as well as my mutuals) for so many years. However, I have one important thing to say to my new followers who are inclined to ask "Hi there! Can you do a request of [insert generic fursona here], plz?":
The reason for this is because I got comics to do for my SubscribeStar (most of which are adults-only stuff) so I can work for a living. Bear in mind, each of the comic pages I do take a very long time to work on. Just imagine anyone asking for a comic page request, which way too much work to accept (not to mention, too time-consuming) and I wouldn't have time to do huge comic requests like that!
In fact, most artists don't do free art because they need to accept paid commissions to work for a living. Not to mention, commissions and SubscribeStar/Patreon are their secondary sources of income. They NEED money to survive, as well as paying rent or getting new art supplies. Another important thing to know is that art is a luxury, and it usually doesn't come cheap.
Can any of you imagine having a nice walk in a neighborhood, and then some random stranger approaches you out of the blue to ask you to either wash his car or mow his lawn for free? Why would anyone want to do so, especially without payment whatsoever?
I'm also concerned that some of you may potentially provide me some horrible trashpost AI slop (yes, I'm looking at you, Italian Brainrot) disguised as character references instead of actual genuine hand-drawn references made by equally genuine people when asking asking me to work for you. I won't and absolutely NEVER accept any poorly made reference image made with AI. Those that do so will get rejected, blocked, and blacklisted. No exceptions!
Speaking of blocking: If any of you keep pestering me with repeated messages asking for free art, you will be blocked. There's a good reason popular artists block anyone that harass them for requests like that.
And finally, here's an message that I've learned from SVG programmer Doom-the-Wolf on DA (and also on Bluesky; NSFW) after seeing many, many people asking him for free interactive animation (which he used to do):
Artists are NOT your personal slaves. Plus, they're human beings, not art-making robots.
The only perfect you can ask for free art is when an artist is doing raffles (in which they offer free art by picking a winner using a random number generator of sorts). And from what I understand, this is much better than doing kiribans (another free art thing) so as to avoid potential cheaters and notable kiriban hogs.
Now, before you respond "But Latiro, I suck at drawing stuff! T__T", I'm here to tell you that nobody starts by knowing because talent doesn't magically appear on a fingersnap. Always know that there's thousands of helpful tutorials on the internet about how to draw, paint, study anatomies/colors, etc. that will help you become an artist, and it even helps you draw whatever idea you had in mind (which is most likely any request I rejected). In other words:
---
TL;DR: I'm not open for free stuff of any kind as I've got tons of work to do. That, and artists don't work for free; they work for a living.
I'll also block anyone that rudely harass me for free art.

Never ask artists for free art. Because it's extremely disrespectful for you to ask people to work for you without any payment.

If there's something you want drawn, you should do it yourself, especially after studying tutorials. ANYONE can learn to draw no matter what because learning is power!

Joking: "Hey, can you drop everything you do that you need to do to survive and do this super elaborate work for me, totally free and I'll give you 'exposure?' I demand to talk to your manager! I'm an entitled half-wit!"
Honestly, I wish you the best and love seeing whatever you post. <3
May those entitled people forget all their passwords.
