When the Tolesian government needed a vehicle to sustain its war machine, it turned to Imperial Light and Machine Works (ILMW) to develop a new heavy logistics vehicle that could haul everything from 130-ton bemoths to disaster relief aid from beacheads to the front, or from warehouses to the field. The result was the THH-2C series of cabs. Designed for mass production and easy maintenance, these vehicles are ubiquitous amongst the Tolesian military and other government sectors.
Powered by 8 electric motors, the truck is powered by solid oxide fuel cells and solid-state batteries. This provides the vehicle with impressive performance and range, while its electromagnetic suspension allows it to carry fragile cargo over hazardous or rough terrain. Its modular construction allows it to be disassembled and repaired in austere conditions. The tuck can be equipped with chassis-mounted cargo-carrying equipment, or some of the cargo space can be sacrificed to fit a gooseneck, allowing it to tow incredible payloads of well in excess of 150 tonnes. Capable of moving well over 100kph, it's fast and easily able to sprint through combat zones and keep up with formations.
The major upgrade this vehicle had over its predecessor, the THH-1C, was a greater emphasis on harsh-environment survival. These upgrades included ceramic and non-reactive coatings and materials for the skin, thicker polycarbonate windows that absorb impacts. The biggest update was an integrated airlock system, which replaced the older add-on units, saving weight and clawing back additional cargo space. This allows the truck driver to operate, at least in non-combat conditions, without much environmental protection in the cab.
The THH-2C is another product of the Tolesian Commonwealth: Efficient, ugly, but built for the worlds that it will visit rather than the worlds already owned. These are the unsung heroes of the Tolesian Commonwealth, sustaining the front-line units so they can do what they do best.
