My first commission that I have done in a long while-and what a beauty she is!!!!!
This is JACKKUROs griffin girl who has a feel for sleek high velocity guns to blast her enemies with,...if her sharp claws and biting beak are not enough!!!!!
This was a joy to work on and I think it came out looking better than I had hoped....working on commissions makes one try harder to do better it seems!!!!!
I put her in a high energy landing action pose that shows off her lovely wings and excellent design-badass avenging winged hero!!!!

Ahem,.....
I am an older grey muzzle(as they call it here!)guy of 50 years and I grew up collecting comic books ever since I was a kid back in the 1980s..
All those years of reading/loving/studying my favorite artists and drawing for literally thousands of hours has paid off I guess.
The practice and repetition of the basics such as anatomy and trying to nail down a style of my own has taken decades.
I loved IMAGE comics and dreamed about maybe doing some small mini series back in the day,..I loved all the comics from the usual suspects back then...the 1990s was a feast of new characters and creator owned and operated comics-so the inspiration just pushed me on through the years.
Later in the 00s I managed to get a WACOM pad and start my digital art voyage(2010)

Ah, fair! Back in my art class we had to do a report on someone who we found inspirational, and I did Todd McFarlane of Image Comics. Just wouldn't give up, even after 500 rejection letters. And now look, one of the few comic books that never buckled, least as far as I've seen. Always kept quality at the helm.
They just gotta get off their ass and make a Spawn movie again and maybe make it a trilogy so they can get into the REALLY wacky shit XD

McFarlane was my house art god-and still is even though he does not make so much art as he did back then!
Yeah-so much rejection,...but it goes to show that just one little yes can get your foot in the door!!!!
Quality has always been one of his strong points for sure-in any project he has done.
I have also been waiting ages for a new SPAWN movie,...ever since the first one came out,.....

Fur,...feathers,....scales,.....each has a technique challenge attached to it....even humans with skin types(hairy, birth marks and wrinkles etc.)
I am just happy to continue developing a coherent style that gives each unique creature a fair shake.
...All that and Gryphons are majestic!!!!!!
