When Crescent was still a baby, Yuri ended getting him a blanket that Crescent always slept with. When Jamey destroyed Yuri's old forge and evidence the two being together, Jamey didn't have the heart to destroy a baby blanket. So jamey stashed it away so Yuri would one day find it should he can Crescent reunite again.
When Yuri recreated his forge he found Crescent's old baby blanket and held onto it since it the only thing of Crescent's babyhood yuri still had since he missed a huge chunk of Crescent's life. Yuri still sleeps with it since it makes him feel like he sleeping with his little hatchling again.
