"Grotesque" (Monochrome Illustration)
"I'm crying out now, somebody help me
'Cause when I open up my eyes, they surround me
Why did it have to be me?
Nobody else believes me
Will nothing here give me peace?
Maybe death will set me free..."
- We Don't Bite
Each week for my Color Theory course we must make two journal pages (I misunderstood some things so there is just the above this week) using the knowledge we're learning in class. Here I chose the color red for the monochrome palette, depicting a gargoyle (yes I know they look similar to a dragon) with their protective qualities emphasized. I love how it came out, what do you think? ^.=.^
Materials: Liquitex acrylic goauche, varnished with fixative in my sketchbook journal.
