There are certain things we don't lend out to randoms. A random person may have a roll of tape, or a tube of silicon but
certainly not a spanner or a ratchet. Coworkers may borrow anything up to torx bits, but they'll certainly be measured if
snap ring pliers are to be handed over. Then there is the torque wrench. They come in all sorts of sizes and wonderful
flavours. Theres the dial type, the click type and the beep type. Each with their own variations of styles and designs. One
thing remains the same, they're all kept under lock and key and closely guarded. No mechanic worth their salt would walk
up to another and ask to borrow one. Which enters the idiots. Whose interaction goes as such:
"Hi, can I borrow a torque wrench ?" The answer of course will be a resounding "No."
Usually they'll get the hint and try their luck elsewhere. But some more persistent ones will counter:
"But you have so many, surely you can lend me one !" To which the only correct retort would be:
"You have 3 daugthers (or insert valuable thing here), may I borrow one ?"
