The Chieftain’s menacing silhouette stood before The Lands Trio. His stature certainly befitted his title, since he came in much taller than Zenchi, who was already the tallest member of the group. Arms crossed, he seemed to analyze the three of them, trying to get some sort of read on their character. Then, Xander singled out Roseland in particular, making direct contact with her slit, blue leopard eyes, “Hmmm...” Even wearing her signature mask, she still felt exposed to his intense stare. Her eyes widened to an almost comical degree, not truly knowing what to say or do, “Ahem, Chieftain sir-” Without uttering another word, Chieftain Xander averted his focus from Roseland to Ithaca, leading her to feel quite nervous. The northern coyote stood idly as the gargantuan water buffalo continued his analysis of the trio, before he suddenly let out a hearty chuckle and promptly patted her on the back, “Hahahaaa! Well it certainly took you three long enough!” Once she felt the Chieftain’s fatherly patting on her back, it felt more like being struck by a massive, moving ship. “Eep!” Ithaca let out a noise indicating her surprise. After this humorous moment together, the Chieftain backed off and prepared to vacate the G’eelm shipyard as if nothing had happened. However, Zenchi took interest in his offhand comment, “You were...expecting us?” The trio had traveled practically all the way across Evercrest, and in an age where long-distance communication consists of mailing and letters, how would he have ever known of their impending arrival? “Course I was! Ye think I wouldn't recognize the Hero Of The Lands in the flesh?” The answer he gave was straightforward, rolling right off the tongue. While it was true that Zenchi had undoubtedly made a name for herself over the years, how could her name have made it all the way to G’eelm Outpost? In an effort to clarify things and clear up the fog, Xander invited the trio to a meeting, “Aye, meet me at The Blue Sailor and we'll 'ave a chat!” And just like that, the Chieftain and his wife headed back to town to go about their day. Well, if absolutely nothing else, one can definitively say that the Chieftain makes a boisterous first impression. Alas, The Lands Trio would learn in due time about the situation at G’eelm Outpost and why they were sent here in the first place. To The Blue Sailor it is then!
