As the entire crew of Wyona’s Hand departs the extravagant vessel, the Chieftain is the last to set foot off of the ship. Such is routine for him, the saying always goes that the captain is the first on the ship and the last off of it. Once he laid his hooves on the wooden docks, it felt like the entire atmosphere had miraculously changed. There he was: Xander Dorwin. Wyona rushed through the crowd of townsfolk and sailors to greet her husband. He’d been away for the past few days and it was no surprise that she was ecstatic to see him again. Once she had gotten up to him, the Chieftain’s immense size became even more apparent. The way he towered over the relatively short cow truly put it into perspective. “Xandy! Welcome back big fella!” She threw her arms around his midriff, happily embracing her partner of over twenty years. Despite two decades passing since their marriage, that spark between them had never fizzled out. Xander looked down at the lovely lady and laid a hand on her shoulder, “Hehehe. How I've missed ye, me lil' milk maiden.” Once Wyona finally decided to let go of the big buffalo, she looked up at him in response. Through her pearly blue eyes and bright smile, Mrs. Dorwin told the Chieftain something else he would undoubtedly look forward to, “Y'know, Petal really missed 'er pa too. She'll be head over hooves to see ya.” Indeed, they were parents! Petal was her name, their sweet little daughter who was only two years old. Where did she get her name? Well, she was named after the gentle, flowing leaves that blew in from the nearby forest of Canary Path. Soft, colorful petals that always signified a vibrant, bountiful season ahead. Someday, she would succeed her father as the new Chiefess, a promising outlook toward the future. But of course, that would take some time to come to fruition. Currently, she was in the care of other family members while Wyona went out to retrieve her father. For now, Chieftain Xander couldn’t be more excited to reunite with his special little calf, “Oho, I cannae wait to hold that lil' moo in me arms. I've got quite the story to tell 'er.”
With their heartfelt reunion over, Wyona grabbed Xander’s hand and began to lead him back to town. However, there were some interesting new characters that she was eager to introduce him to. “Mhm! And look! You've got some new friends!” The whole time, The Lands Trio had been standing by rather awkwardly. They weren’t sure what to say to Wyona or the Chieftain, as they wouldn’t want to get between the husband and wife who’d been apart for some time. Wyona directed Xander over to Zenchi, Ithaca, and Roseland, who all stood blankly side by side, “...” Xander, taken by surprise, was curious to learn more about the colorful trio, “Oh, who do we 'ave 'ere?”
