Comic: The Sea Is Calling (Page 3)

After a brief wait for the main gates to open, The Lands Trio are welcomed into G’eelm Outpost by the grumbly old fellow who first pointed a gun at Zenchi. He was an aged, yet still very well-built lizard who bore an eyepatch over his right eye, signifying potential battle scars of the past. He nonchalantly carried an axe across his back and his scaly head was topped with a horned helmet. Undoubtedly, he was one of the fearsome Outriders of the Cobalt Sea. Apologizing once again for his prior aggression, he waved the three friends into the bustling town, “Sorry for the scare there lassies! Welcome to G'eelm Outpost!” The midday sun told the world that nightfall was soon to come, and despite that, the town looked as busy and awake as any other big Capital. Roseland crossed her arms as she took in their surroundings, taking note of the myriad of people going about their day, visiting shops, cooking delicious meals, and every other daily activity one could think of. “Well, how lively.” Even though the town was relatively small compared to the bigger, more well-developed Cities, it certainly didn’t feel small, with shops, homes, and people everywhere, with something to do or see in every corner. Ithaca had already rushed ahead of Zenchi and Roseland, eager to meet new people and continue their long adventure together, “Woooww! When do we meet the big guy Chi-Chi?” While yes, the main task at hand would be to speak with the Chieftain, that would have to come later as the trio began to acquaint themselves with G’eelm Outpost. Would he really be as stoic and fearless as word of mouth said? They would get these answers and many more in due time.
