The Lands Trio, at long last, stand at the front entrance of G’eelm Outpost. They can hear the rustling and bustling of busy townsfolk inside, but with no way in, they can do little but wait and hope they are let in. The three of them look up at the height of the wall. It’s almost a fortress, heavily guarded from the dangers outside. “Umm...hopefully they'll let us in?” Awkwardly standing around and waiting for something to happen, Ithaca speaks up. The entirety of the Outpost is walled off, with some particularly interesting flags adorning the length of the walls. The flag appears as a deep blue with what seems to be an emblem of an axe intertwined with a serpentlike creature. Indeed, ‘tis unmistakably the flag of the Outriders, the iconic band of sailors hailing from Felvhati Isle. They have been around for generations, known as some of the earliest folks to travel the seas. As such, they know the waters better than anyone and are a cornerstone in seafaring and shipping.
Suddenly, a latch in the reinforced gate opened up at face level. A rifle is pointed directly at Zenchi’s face, nudging her in the snout. “*GASP!*” Expressing shock at the unfriendly welcome, Ithaca fears for her friend’s life. A voice speaks from the other side of the gate, a mature, grumbly voice with a thick accent, “State yer business, lassies.” While not the first time Zenchi has had a gun aimed at her face, she attempted to maintain her composure and answer the man’s request, “I err- ahem, we're here to meet with the Chieftain.” Just like that, the rifle is pulled away from the dragon’s face and a wave of relief flies over the three of them. In a stark contrast to his previous demeanor, the voice from the other side graciously welcomes the trio in, “Aye, well why didn't ye say so sooner? Oi Yani, keel open the gates!” After a brief pause, the mechanisms of the large wooden gate can be heard coming to life, slowly opening up for the trio’s grand entrance. Even Roseland was taken aback by the quick shift from pointing a gun at someone’s face to welcoming them in like an old friend, “Ah- aha. Quite the change in attitude.” First impressions are typically very important when meeting someone new or visiting a new location, and this was…certainly some sort of first impression. Nonetheless, once the gates were opened, The Lands Trio could finally breathe a sigh of relief. They had just arrived at G’eelm Outpost.
