[2025] Evolution of Birds

Believe it or not, these birds do not exist. They are a mere example of the crazy unexpected outputs one can get from spectral filtering of an output file from CDPR8.
If you're not familiar with CDPR8, it's a command line audio program that Aphex Twin used back in the 90s and 2000s to make some insane music. Nowadays, there's a GUI wrapper for it called SoundThread, which I used to edit one of my old samples from one of my songs.
In the background of some crazy output, I heard what sounded like birds, so I opened up the file in Audacity, used a spectral filter to strip out the main droning notes, amplified a few different bands where the birds were prevalent, then finally manually rewrote the 4 clicks you hear to not be so ear-piercing.
This is the second version of the audio where I have placed the 3 main stages of the audio into a mix together. If you listen carefully on the second file, you might just hear the birds (before I let them out of the proverbial cage)
