After Twilight Sparkle's rule over Equestria ended. Two alicorns were nominated, Flurry Heart of Crystal empire integrated into Equestria and Bigpip who arrived from outside Equestria. An election for a new monarch was held and ponies voted for Bigpip, who declared himself Emperor and proclaimed Equestria and it's autonomous territories the brand new Anocratic empire; to Flurry Heart's dismay.
Centuries later the two alicorns meet again, with Flurry Heart being send on a scouting adventure to another planet.
