After Velvet left the Wigglytuff Guild, she felt like something about Fujin was off when she mentioned her sister. She went to Atem who happened to be in Crown at the time to find out what's going on. She tried her charms to get a free fortune, but Atem was not impressed at all.
Surprised her charms didn't work, she asked if Fujin was hiding something, he revealed that Torrie left the guild and Fujin was lying to save face.
Irritated about the lie she'd eventually go back to wearing him as a diaper. Velvet wanted to know what happened so she asked Atem what happened to her. He explained she was in the Butterfly Kingdom doing a tour, but mysteriously vanished after a failed rebellion.

Velvet asked if she could get her fortune told, which he happily took recommending his three card fortune. After pulling the ‘concerned sister’ card which was her fate he had two choices for her to foresee.
She went with Destiny first which revealed meeting her sister in some diner. Curiously she wanted to see Tragedy which revealed her seeing Torrie being impaled by a spear.
She asked for more but that was all he could reveal and she'd have to figure it out herself.
She begged for a hint and even offered him a bonus, revealing her sister won't be the same in personality anymore.

With that Torrie paid him for his services and returned to the Crown Palace figuring out who was behind the Tragedy.
