Don't know why really, I think it was because the premice was just so silly that it was parodying itself.

ANd yah, I can undestand the whole idea the making things into a cartoon series is a bad idea, but I think it's not because it was a 'cartoon' per say, but mostly because of bad writing. I mean, if any of these were live action it would still be bad.

I guess writing had a hand in it. There was also a Little Shop of Horrors cartoon.

Yah, sometimes concept doesn't help :p
I think if they tried making a 'serious' cartoon, then some of these would have made some awesome adaptations.

I remember just about everything you mentioned there. The Free Willy one was certainly weird that he was able to...talk? And submarine bad guy!

Well apparently in the cartoon, only the boy could talk to Willy and other animals due to being a "truth talker".

Is that so!

Well, I won't remember such a minor cartoon from more than 10 years ago!
