It's an Epson Stylus, I believe.

Epson is weird about all sorts of stuff. I use the "Windows Fax and Scan" program that comes on the computer with my Epson, cause the program that comes with it kept corrupting and disappearing. When I use it, there's a little box I can click that lets me scan one or multiple areas. You might try using it. Otherwise, have you tried googling the full model with 'turn off auto crop' or something to that effect?

I think I did look for that a while ago, but I didn't find anything for it, if I remember correctly. :\
