Alexa the Protogen is a mass produced assistant Protogen unit. They are engineered to communicate with each other telepathically, and coordinate in squads. They are very helpful on the battlefield.

Microsoft the Protogen is usually called in when there are bugs and crashes to report and fix. Both are Blue Team aligned, and are fighting to stop Glitch_Hop's malware mind-control.

By the time of the Protogen RAM Wars on Halo, most if not all Protogen units come pre-installed with remote viewing and augmented cognition chips in their brains, which can be acccessed through encrypted channels to provide real-time sensory feedback as well as download skill packs into their augmented cognition brain implants, also allowing for real-time remote manually assissted cognitive enhancements. Telepathy is ubiquitous now, so treat thoughts as spoken word!
