The tour boat Tundra's Call cuts across the northern Pacific, its decks crowded with thrill-seekers scanning the horizon for whales. Among them stands Aguvik—quiet, amused, the salt wind tugging at his hair. When the catamaran hits deeper water, he slips away, shedding his jacket, his shirt, his human shell.
Moments later, a shape streaks through the blue beneath the hull—massive, fluid, alive. The sea erupts around him in a thunderous breach. The tourists gasp, cameras lifted high, convinced they've glimpsed a miracle of nature: a colossal orca, its eyes glinting silver, its form almost… lupine.
They cheer. They clap. They don't see the faint laughter bubbling from beneath the waves, or the knowing flash of teeth before he dives again.
For Aguvik, this is homecoming and mischief entwined. The call of the sea, the heartbeat of the hunt, and the secret thrill of a legend hiding in plain sight.
He surfaces once more beneath the sunset glow, water cascading from his finned shoulders. The crowd roars in awe—still thinking it's a myth. Aguvik just laughs, and disappears beneath the blue~
