Upon the news about Dire wolves being resurrected, I thought it is fitting for a moment for my own clone Dire wolf Zoya to meet the two (plus 1) newly born dire wolf pups. This is such a touching piece. The news about cloning dire wolves is fascinating, and you captured such a tender moment here. Zoya meeting these pups and discovering those maternal instincts... that's really powerful storytelling. The composition and expressions convey so much emotion. Beautiful work!
Thank you for the kind words! And it's ironic that I made Zoya a short few years ago out of the blue and wanting a dire wolf and figured her lore is cloning. Then a short few years later the news dropped about actual dire wolves being resurrected, and I was like "I predicted it!"
And a maternal instinct perhaps, though I am torn on making her a "surrogate" mother or older step-sister.
