Okay so... world-building dump:
Nintendo doesn't make videogames in Earth 2.0. Instead, the American company called Magnavox (who made the first videogame console, Odyssey) never went broke and kept innovating in tech to make analogous to our world's consoles amde by that company.

So in 2006 they released the Magnavox Duo (Nintendo DS) with split screen and touch screen.

Nintendo is still there, just making different stuff: trading cards, movies and television series (Star Fox is a film franchise replacing Battlestar Galactica and Animal Crossing is a sitcom, one of many, more on that later).
