Walking through the abandoned north wing of the castle, the soft click of Aurora’s shoes the only noise echoing off of the empty halls. Her ears twitch with every step, senses on high alert as she passes tattered tapestries, cracked vases and busts and cobweb filled corners and door frames.
As she approaches the end, there is a large mirror hanging on the wall, its silver tarnished, the simple frame shining beautifully in the dim light. Approaching the mirror she sees herself in its glass. Similar, yet, uncannily different. The aurora in the mirror looks younger, her hair somewhat unkempt in high pig tails behind her ear. Her Swirl sloppily made, not as tight as she likes to keep it. Her clothes un-matching and unfamiliar.
A chill races down Aurora’s spine as the reflection before her picks up her hand to twirl her messy hair and gives a wink through the mirror.
A special thank you to
snowsnow11 for this eerie art work! it is a part of their October drawing challenge and I love the greyscale look of the piece! This was also perfect for Halloween with just the right amount of spookiness!

After a while, I started thinking about the picture and had a thought, "Imagine if that wasn't a mirror, but a window and what you see is a pair of twin sisters who are the complete opposite of each other." Then you look at the picture and compare the differences that make them both uniquely beautiful in their own way.
