Returning home, Locke reunites with
his 16-year-old son Kade Athair. But the
reunion is spoiled by the notice that Kade
has dropped out of school in Locke's
absence. Now involved in a street fight
club under the moniker "Knuckles".

Locke is obviously disappointed, but
before chastising his son he receives a
beeper message urging him to come back to
UCLA. The Object Upsilon is behaving
weird.
