On the flip side, my autism often causes me to misgender people, especially if they send out mixed gender signals like a feminine hairstyle but a vaguely masculine body, etc. It's not intentional, it's accidental, but it makes me so terribly anxious when I do it by accident and someone explodes on me for that honest mistake. I definitely don't do that 'ew i thought you were' thing, though. Be whatever you want, just try to be patient when I call you the wrong thing because of neurodivergence please.
