TRANSCRIPT

Day 370 - October 9th, 2741

We made it to the bio-farm. A large green-house looking complex that is largely operational. Strange seeing such a complex in the middle of nowhere. Lily perked up seeing it, some look of recognition came to her face. I asked if she knew what this place was. To my surprise she responded.

It was a facility formed over an underground river, similar to the Well. But this one crossed the highway and made this an ideal place. Plus its in between the city of Ore and the Iron Province, so its in a good spot to supply food for both using merchants passing between. Many of whom come to the Well to get water, where Lily met with many during her time as a scribe for the water trade.

With that said, it also implied to me that STEEL would likely be here in force. Control the food, control the people. And sure enough I was right. STEEL patrolled the outside in clear uniforms. As Lily was in salvaged STEEL gear, she should stick back as that would attract attention. As for me, I wore my mask which covered my face and eyes, to hide that I was a wielder. But, My foreign looking white tail and canine ears I couldn't hide.

I went inside, met a merchant, got some supplies at a decent price actually, but then I got accosted by a STEEL soldier that demanded to know where I came from and where I was going.

I told him I came from Phosphate since it would be more believable for a white wolf. He wasn't satisfied and asked me to remove my mask.

I hesitated, but the merchant then scolded the STEEL solder for intimidating customers, the lifeblood of the entire facility. The soldier started spewing some reminders about authority and so on, but I used the moment to slip away. Met back up with Lily and off we went further south.
