TRANSCRIPT

Day 364 - October 3rd, 2741,

Pathfinder pointed us to a safehouse nearby, a few hours off the road to the north. Buried in the black sands and very well hidden. Places like this are all over the province, and are going to be very useful in the future.

With some more guidance, Pathfinder led us to a hatch mostly buried under the dark sand, and we went inside. It was a carved out hole in the ground, but it was a rather large one. Supported by columns and beams, had a fully stocked food & water storage of MREs and other non-perishables. I even found a credit stash. Took some, but just to cover the future supplies we would need to buy along the way to Ore.

We also found some weapons. Lily already had my old rifle, but she didn't have a knife, which I found, so I gave one to her. She held it in her hands with a thousand yard stare, before putting it away. Poor girl, the things she must've done back at the Well. I only hope she will one day tell me so she doesn't have to bear the burden alone.

With more digging, I found a machine pistol, same caliber as my pistol too. I even found some medical supplies, but there wasn't much left. Bandages were in lack supply, painkillers were mostly gone. Seems we are far from the first people to use this place, and certainly whoever one of them might've been was in a bad way. Still there were scissors and tweezers so I cut out Lily's stitches and cleaned up around her wounds.

We stayed here for the night, as it was late day when we got here. Only one bed though, but we managed. She did fall asleep rather quickly this time, but she hadn't gotten much sleep these last few days so maybe her body just gave out. Well, she certainly needs it. And since she isn't shaking or whimpering like she once was, I hope this is a good sign for the future.
