First off i would like to state that I did not make this amazing piece of art this is a commission from one of the most amazing artists on FA

Woot, i've been watching todex ever since i entered the fandom and to finally get a commission from him is really just awesome, and well just look at it. its flipping awesome and this is his "lite" work holy crap :o.
anyway fanboy rant aside, I usually like to look at certain aspects of my commissions and pick my favorite parts, this one was really hard to pick just a couple but I think the glowing of the eyes is what really got me. And the little effect with the shackles just adds so much more to the feeling of it, all in all its exactly what i was hoping for, and more.

Yes, I owe most of my character's sex appeal - especially in the 3D modeling - to the Todex reference work it was based from. All textures were carefully made from the reference, and therefore my main user icon is a Todex reference brought to 3D. Someday I hope to have Todex re-envision my Iksar in 3D personally.
Back to your character, yes this is a terrific color palate for such a creature. It's as if you are lava and your skin takes on the color of the crust that forms over it. The molten shackles show just what your touch does to iron. The eyes show the blast-furnace look of your inner metabolism, the burning intellect of your mind. Yet, in reptilian fashion, you sport classic spikes (much like mine) behind the cheekbones much like a horned lizard and the banding not unlike a serpent. All very dangerous, predatory features.
Still yet, there are birdlike and powerful humanoid musculature features to support your winged and earthen/fire attributes, all in powerful masculine detail. I think these are perhaps the irresistible attractive details that make you approachable despite the incineration danger you represent. I can only assume you do find company in some other hot-blooded companions… or can insulate your blood well when you want to.

huh wow, i honestly never thought much about it like that. I like to see the thought that you put into this it kinda makes me feel less crazy about putting so much thought into Sovelis.
Yes he can actually control his temperature, because in a since he is cold blooded, in that he can't produce his own body heat he takes it from his surrondings. Therefore his scales are mostly cool, so that the higher temperature is in a way attracted to him sifting it to his blood where it is stored and he uses it for energy, therefore needing no food. So he can actually make his body extremly hot but only at a cost of his own energy. So creating mass fires and dancing in them is his way of cooking and eating in a since.

You'd be one of the few dragon guests that would enjoy the lava pool in my cave… unsure whether you'd prefer actually plunging your body into the molten rock, or swallowing the flow that feeds it from the source as it flows into this pool before draining out the bottom. It sort of collects and cools a bit in this pit on its way down, always hot and steaming, so always the same temperature and vividly red and molten...
