Both Yairi and Besro have had a difficult and tragic life.

Yairi runs a classic styled diner, which she inherited from her mother after she passed away. Under her stubborn and sometimes rude demeanor is a sweet person who feels like they've been dealt the worst cards and needs to maintain a thick hide to get by. She lives a very busy and lonely life, often passing the time by watching TV alone in her apartment. She craves a life of her own, but feels compelled to maintain the legacy of the only person who she feels ever truly cared for them.

Besro, on the other hand, is a sarcastic trickster and a bit of a jerk. He coasts, from job to job, hanging out with "friends" all the time and doesn't appear motivated to make his situation better. He can be a little sexist, which irritates his sister to no end. She only provides him with a place to stay because she feels a responsibility to help him get his life on track. Underneath his reckless behavior though, is the constant nightmares that haunt him in his sleep every night, as if his consciousness doesn't want him to forget the uncomfortable truths he buries in his real life...
