So, my wife and I moved to a new state in the US and have been living in an apartment since April. I've been able to cover all the rent and food costs thanks to the opportunity I've had to save my money for the last several years prior to the move. However, the whole point was to use this apartment as temporary living while we looked to place a down payment on a home. For better or worse though, what we thought would take us 3 months actually took about 5 months...
All of this spare time made me very bored, and I felt like I should do something with my time. It allowed me to come back to something I had basically abandoned for years - drawing!

As some of you have seen, I've been posting new art every other day now for several months, which has only been possible due to this free time. I really do feel like I've learned some things and gotten better in these last few months. ☺️

However, my wife and I finally closed on a house a few weeks ago, and that means I have to get back to work....
So, it's going to get more difficult to find the time to draw.
I should be able to keep up my current pace of bi-daily posts until late November. After that, though, I don't know.

Part of this has certainly been an experiment on my part. I was sorta hoping this could become a way to make friends and maybe a little side hustle where I do commissions or something. But to be honest, I haven't really seen the kind of feedback I was expecting to get and over time it's sorta made things discouraging.

Let's just say, in the near future, there's going to be lots of reasons to spend my time and energy making money, and not a lot of good reasons to spend time making art. So, I don't know how long I can keep it up.

But, if anyone is out there reading this - thank you for following along and any support you might have given me. 💜
I'll keep going at this pace for as long as I can... and after that.... who knows?
