Creating Sherlock Holmes/Smaug or Smauglock Holmes and Bilbo Baggins/John Watson or Bilbo Watson was the best. Both were reluctant when they met, Bilbo Watson thought the former tyrant dragon would be the same obsessed with hoards of power. But seeing Smauglock observing the Hobbit-human without a look. Maybe Bilbo Watson could ease himself into his new and unexpected role.
