Now this take place right as Sam is assigned to blue team where he and his A.I echo are just getting of the pelican sent by high command to deliver them to blue HQ

Sam was once a member of the autonomous helljumper core working directly for the Office of Navel Intelligence or O.N.I for short how ever after a botched mission went south Sam was the only member of his squad to make it out alive and was assigned to blue team after some other work that has been redacted from the records

(Echo)
Echo is a smart A.I developed from the brain of one of sams squad members before the failed mission, as such she acts like a guide for Sam to help him mentally recover and get back to normal

the two share a nice buddy cop dynamic Sam is more straight forward and to the point while echo likes to be more cautious and tactical but they work well together and with blue teams help she finally gets Sam to open up
