Hey there. Been a little while since I posted, so I apologize. This was an older commission done several months back and I wanted to showcase the simplicity and beauty of Sword and Shield, often abbreviated to SnS. It is the old reliable, weak yet versatile and viable mainstay. A weapon archetype that has appeared in many games outside of the franchise as a whole. This weapon is sometimes overlooked due to each hit being relatively weak, but more than makes up for it in terms of comfort, nimbleness, versatility, and the many options/branching paths available. There are some wicked designs throughout the series, and it has advanced, obtaining new moves and maneuvers, yet always retaining that simplicity. Here's to many slashes, blocks, and item uses. A weapon one can never go wrong with.
The background came out quite well for artistic freedom; it gives me Fatalis, Akantor, Gravios, Dire Miralis, etc vibes with the fiery, cracked earth.
