Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today I bring you a comic and stuff of Hyembs the Dragon protecting the mermaids. This comic was meant to be extremely experimental with both panels. It's also a reminder that Hyembs the Dragon, despite her cute appearance can ABSOLUTELY be very, very, menacing. I mean yes, we've seen her protect kobolds and stuff, but- yeah- she protects everyone who she considers to be "small" or well, she'll even do it for those who are "big" too
I had a lot of fun drawing this piece honest to God, and yeah, my friend, MerMaya shows up as a cameo, obviously- lmfao.

The universe that Hyembs belongs to does not connect to the greater setting I'm working on of "Skin to Scales" and is meant to be a way more cuddly, cute, silly, and adorable setting in comparison to my main works. However, nothing that happens in this work of fiction is to connect to any real-life events and is merely coincidence as well as the names or other sorts of media (unless stated.) "Hyembs the Dragon" is about a pink, airheaded dragon who is the self-proclaimed defender of "Grandiopolis." the last bastion of civilization in a fairy-tale world filled with kaiju and monsters that would want to see it destroyed. A powerful wizard created the dragons, but one day vanished as well as many of his creations decided to defect from defending this world. Hyembs the Dragon woke up centuries late and refuses to deny her absent creator's will and does not wish to see humanity and the good creatures of the world to be destroyed. Her and her Kobold Knights, and new Kaiju friends will defend what's left of the world at all costs from not only the monsters, but making sure King Oldbeard doesn't destroy his own kingdom. Despite that, Maya is her own persona, the person I call Varik even if this is a cameo and they own their own design and everything- They are not canon to the Hyembs universe, obviously

Second thing: Yes, this can be taken very obviously and literally as "Hyembs the Dragon will protect those for their identity" and is a transgender allegory. I mean, considering Hyembs the Dragon herself is Transfemale, I mean- yeah, lmfao.
