People use the site for more.... NSFW purposes mostly, so a lot of the users are going to be sexually frustrated assholes who downvote stuff that don't really meet their standards of art - as if our talent as artists from come-out-the-wazoo, blessed by Fella McDeviantART himself. It's disappointing :/
I mean.. even "talented artists" aren't safe which proves my case of people just being assholes. I had my art called "mid" by my stalker, even though they know damn well my skills are improving & have gone to the point of me being able to do paint & render HD mega delphox gals in 8 hours.
I was like: HUH!?!?!? YOURE CALLING MY ART THAT OTHERS ARE CLEARLY AMAZED BY MID? It is elitism so absurd and so dangerously detached from reality, that it'd make even Sisyphus cringe. Some people really do just draw for clout, yet they wonder why their lives are so horrible.
