Someguy Sketches 115 - Alya's Outfits
"Alya and Dreves", a 13-issue story about two college students living together... except they're a Cinccino and a Mismagius respectively. Hijinks are bound to ensue!

While Alya spends a lot of her time without clothes, she'll still dress up for some situations. So for today's Sketch, I thought I'd draw and explain six of Alya's outfits (as well as her phone case!
Let me know if you guys think I should do this for some of my other characters, like Caddie, Alyssa, Melina, etc.!
Work Outfit: The outfit that Alya wears while working at Kalos General, and the one she's currently spent the most on-screen time wearing (as she wears it for the entirety of Issue 5). It consists of a purple dress coat, dark cerulean jeans, and velcro shoes. It's not a mandatory uniform or anything, but it helps protect against accidents while cleaning, and it looks nice and presentable.
Minikit Tee + Shorts + Loafers: A more casual outfit, that she wears to hang-outs. While the Minikit Tee was first seen on Issue 5 Page 9, the tuscan red shorts and the dark brown loafers are new. (Yes, I know the shorts look more like a skirt, but she barely has any leg to work with).
Prom Dress + Make-up: A pink dress with a chrysanthemum, gold bangles, and golden high-heels, which she first wore to her Junior Prom, and still busts out occasionally for VERY formal gatherings. And with the golden eyeshadow, blush, and magenta lipstick, she could probably turn heads from a quarter-mile away if she wanted to.
Phone Case: An aqua case with a microphone, surrounded by stars, music notes, and a treble clef colored in yellow, pink, and light blue. While her phone was shown on Issue 5 Page 8, it simply had a solid-color case because it took me until today to fully settle on a design (I was too deadset on having it also be a reference to something), so I'd decided then to keep it simple and blame the lack of details on the drawing being too small.
Halloween Costume: A costume of Amethyst — in Alya's own words, one of her "favorite anime characters" — which she will wear on the next Halloween. The version of Amethyst the costume depicts is the one Alya will have watched up to by then (it took her a while to discover the show, but she's been binging it ever since).
Magic Robes + Slippers: A teal synthetic-silk bathrobe, a dark blue vest closed with velcro, a toy pocket watch, a plastic belt buckle emblazoned with the same star that's emblazoned on her back hair, and a pair of comfy slippers. It started out as her Halloween costume from last year, but quickly became an outfit she'll sometimes wear while lounging around the house.
Random: A free space, as set-up for if I ever want to use this format again. For Alya, I chose to draw a concept from a scrapped version of a future Issue. The plot would've been that Dreves (at Alya's request, to live out a kink she has) possesses Alya, but they end up unable to separate, and Alya has to navigate her own mind and free them both.
I wrote a whole script, roughly blocked out four pages of panels, and had even begun the sketching process. But I then realized that the concept had become too esoteric and weird, even for my tastes — and it'd also mess with the pacing of their arcs if Alya asked Dreves to help her fulfill a kink like this. So I scrapped the idea, and am now formulating a replacement issue (the possession kink is still canon, though, in case you were wondering).
