I really need to update the old ones. I've been doing some readjusting of heights, weights, ages and backstories in my head that make a bit more sense for me. But anyway...

"Lay has been around for a while. Although far from the oldest Evocanis alive, at 31, he has reached an age the very few of his kind would in the past. As all Evos, he has been given a second chance at life, thanks to the Retcan's ReGen technology. Having lived this long, Lay has experienced many things, bad, but also terrible. Most of his remaining pack was lost during the Year Zero event, only leaving him with his pup, Lya.

During that time of pain and mourning, he met Laser, a brave little Chihuahua. United by the loss of their packs, they formed an unbreakable bond and have been mates ever since.

Although, even with Laser's wisdom and inner strength, Lay hasn't been able to get over the pain from the past. In contrast with many Evos who welcome the new times, the knowledge shared by the Retcans, and their new desire for growth, Lay is very skeptical. He fears that venturing the vastness of space in search of knowledge, will only bring more danger to their species.

Lay is fully against Project D.E ever becoming a reality, as this might open new vulnerabilities that threaten the existence of the Evocanis race. But will he ever change his mind? Specially now that his daughter Lya is part of that very thing he is against."
