Art is by someone my friend requested this from quite some time ago. They gifted the character and art to me because it resembled my character concept.
Scatterbrain is actually my second character concept, the first being a male tornjak.
Xoloitzcuintli (shoh-loyts-kweent-lee) aka Mexican hairless dogs, "With a reputation as a healer, the breed and its warm skin is often put to use in remote Mexican and Central American villages to ward off and cure ailments like rheumatism, asthma, toothache and insomnia. Xolos were also believed to safeguard the home from evil spirits and intruders."
-AKC website description
Scatterbrain is a typical Xolo. Wary of strangers but protective of her family, she tends to be alert and tranquil. She is sensitive to new things and dislikes cold weather.

They are warm indeed. warmer than the regular dog, and much warmer than a human.
I noticed that you mentioned Central America. I didn´t know that Xolo´s where used by indigenous people in this area. Specially because there is no reference of them in story books, and almost no one knows about them here.
