Hi! Fun fact! I love Lavender Town. I think that it's one of, if not the most recognizable place in all of Kanto. Even though it's one of the few cities without a gym, it managed to be equally as memorable because of the Pokemon Tower... and some other unfortunate events... Anyway, I also LOVE ghost types. They are my... I think third favorite type? (I feel like you can deduce the other two types. And no, none of them are Fire.) So Lavender Town being the original spot where one could catch Ghost-type pokemon is a nice plus.
