Piano Solo: Tic-Tac-Dough (1990 Theme)
A piano solo arrangement I wrote of the theme tune to the forgettable 1990 one-season revival of the game show "Tic Tac Dough," which had previously enjoyed a long run with Wink Martindale and later Jim Caldwell in the 1970s and 80s; the 1990 version was hosted by Patrick Wayne, son of the legendary John Wayne. The theme tune's composer is, believe it or not, Henry Mancini.
Anyone who remembers this version might remember the infamous rapping dragon, as well as a dragon slayer that guaranteed an instant win in the bonus round. Otherwise, the contestant had to get 3 X's or O's (of their chosen symbol) in a row to win.
The show current enjoys a run on GSN (Game Show Network), with Brooke Burns as emcee; she previously hosted "The Chase" and "Master Minds" for GSN, and earlier had hosted the infamous "Dog Eat Dog" for NBC.
