Summer 22, Year 3

It took two days before Beep could leave his nest. Magnus had told Beep and Chicken to meet him at his tower when Beep was ready. Before they left Beep to rest, Magnus got a crash course on what Beep had been researching and why Beep was trying to perform such a complicated spell. There were no hard feelings between anyone present; Marlon knew Beep needed to return to his flock and Magnus understood the danger Beep felt at being discovered as something not from this world.

When Beep was finally able to make it to the Nexus warp on the farm, and from there to the Wizard's warp, Magnus greeted him with some good news. He had been experimenting with a portal to view other worlds, to see what else existed out there. While he showed Beep and Chicken the portal he had made, one offering a view into a world similar but very different, Magnus explained he could help Beep strengthen and fine tune the spell. From what Beep had explained; the portal only needed to form a connection to Beep's home realm. His mates could open a transversal portal from their side. It would be infinitely easier for them. (And despite Magnus's questions, Beep wouldn't elaborate why.)

This was already too much at risk with Marlon, Magnus, Krobus, and Chicken knowing Beep was from another realm. If they ever found out who his mates were... Did this world even have a comparable mythos to explain who and what his mates were? They thought the world was a seed grown from a plant. Honestly better than some of the religions Beep had heard about. At least it respected nature.

The effort to walk here had exhausted Beep, and he had needed help keeping his wings from dragging. Combined with his bloodshot eyes, Beep still needed time to recover. Casting a spell beyond his ability had fucked him up more than he had realised. Magnus promised to keep looking into ways to help Beep with contacting his mates, but it would still take time, and a few more ingredients. Beep would keep the spell safe in the lair, and Marlon and Magnus both understood that place was not to be entered again. Not without extreme reason, or without Beep. Beep had reached the end of what he could do on his own. Just as he helped others, perhaps now it was time to let others help him?

The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.
