Just as there is a guardian to restore the flora and fauna of the planet after Dark Gaia's awakenings, there is also one patrolling the seas to restore the balance of water. This giant manta ray coasts the seas north to south and east to west, though rarely surfaces. He cannot show up on any radar or sonar detections, only the strange markings on his back visible for a brief moment. His beard of crystalline kelp is almost a maze for smaller creatures that end up inside, but unlike the somewhat smaller Ancient Dragon, this massive creature doesn't seem to even acknowledge anything's existence.

It is said the markings inspired the kanji for Mizu in some Yurashian languages long ago, when he saved a boat during a violent storm.
