With new art for 2025, I can finally present Team Catatumbo to FurAffinity! As part of my #freethepeets movement at the start of the year, I needed to change one of them so they were barefoot. But I also just generally needed new reference art, hence the long wait. So now, may I present!

Team Catatumbo is a group created by scientists in Soumerca, using the DNA of Sonic, Tails, and Silver alongside mysterious genetic fragments left behind by otherworldly creatures, putting them in chao eggs. This resulted in their own 'superhero' team, made to protect the area from attacks.

Left to Right:
Nimbus the Hedgebeast--a mix of a strange cat-like beast and Sonic's DNA created this reckless speedster. Hotheaded and tempered, they've gotten themselves in trouble several times. Getting beat up is nothing new for them, and they've even lost an arm in battle. They keep the bandages as reminders to try and focus. They hate being addressed as male.

Banquo the Fox--this strange fox-like creature was made with Tails' DNA and some unidentifiable being. The flames sprouting from his chest and tail tips absorb energy, causing weakness to most humans and sapients next to him. They are not hot, strangely. He is paired up with Pulsar, who has boundless energy to give him.

Pulsar the Hedgedragon--this lanky fellow was made with Silver's DNA and a scale of a strange dragon-like creature. He is able to fly and shoot energy waves, but is strangely nervous despite being the leader. He eats rocks and metal for his diet, unable to get nutrients from regular food.

It also seems there's a bit of a... connection between Banquo and Pulsar, to the scientists working closely with them.
