Leo 1st was the 11th ruler of the Kingdom of Normania on the death of his father John 4 in 647. Although his constitution was fragile and his reign didn't last long - less than 6 years - he was a very good king, respected and admired for his courage in the face of the challenges his reign would bring.
He succumbed to a long illness in 653, aged just 24.
