I knew this was a Ford Cortina from the thumbnail. They used to have a lot of these in my neck of the woods.

I recognize it mostly from Top Gear, if I'm honest.

I actually owned a 1981 TF Cortina 4.1L S Pack which was the Aussie version of this... it replaced my '73 TD Cortina which also had a 4.1L 6 Cylinder... 250ci for non-metric folks. The TF is still sitting out on my brother's farm.

A restorer's dream, perhaps?

My brother aims to do that one day. Rust is not too bad as it is in a California type environment. After I replaced it with an 83 AE71 Corolla (needed better fuel economy as I was regularly driving 100K a year) he used it as a burnout competition car for 5 or so years so it is a little worse for wear mechanically.
One day though… possibly after we complete his 75 and 79 Chrysler Lancers and my 86 HJ61 Landcruiser and 71 XY Falcon Ute.
