Hmmmm..... Do those herbivore characters eat meat ? Like they are forcing themselves to eat the flesh of an herbivore, in order to stay and work in the meat camp ?

The meat was probably reserved to Holder and any of his high-ranking guests interested on it, besides other carnivorous workers (since we saw some of them fleeing a few pages before this one). These guys probably had some cushy benefits in exchange of their work if they're so eager to not only toss his fellow herbivores to the literal meat grinder, but also decide to fight Reacher and Lester to try to stop them from ending the operation.

Although horses don't seek out meat, I've heard that they'll eat it if it's offered to them, and it won't hurt them. No idea if Karno had that in mind when he "cast" the character

That's the problem when you've got a tiny minority with all the wealth and resources. If everybody else wants a piece, they have to turn a blind eye to nasty things.

Look around at your own workplace. Ever been yelled at for wanting to know why the company isn't complying with OSHA regulations? Or watched a coworker get screwed over, while knowing your ass is on the line if you say anything?

Those herbivores aren't eating any meat - they just want a paycheck, and they've known for some time that the choices are: ignore the horrors going on with the pigs, and get a paycheck to feed their families; or get turned into steaks while the local sheriff and his deputies laugh and discuss which sauce to use for their portions.

The best thing about this is that from what I've seen Reacher is very good about taking his frustration out on people without going the extra step of being lethal.

This actually makes me wonder if these Herbivores are how they are able to capture others. The leaders of the farm probably offer them top dollar if they can convince or capture a pig, probably looks less suspicious too if an Herbivore goes missing after seeing or being seen by a different Herbivore than a Carnivore.

Either they're collaborators only in it for the money or the oversized dogtective is jumping to conclusions.
