OC Inspired Cake Slices! (5) -- Vinx
❌ DO NOT TRACE, REPOST, HEAVILY REFERENCE, RECOLOUR OR SELL MY ARTWORK FOR ANY REASON. ❌🐶🐺Next up is Vinx's slice! Similar to Morris', I didn't reference a specific flavour of cake. Instead, I worked off of what ideas came to me on my own. Originally, I wanted to place the grey and black in the middle section as a way to represent his unappealing personality. However when I tried that out, it didn't look quite right.. and so, I decided on going for something different. Like with Cupid and Morris' slices, I wanted to add a little decorative feature of Vinx's favourite animal on the top of the cake, this being a snake. I got the idea to make it look like syrup, shaping it out to resemble a snake. I also added a strawberry as that links to strawberry tarts, which are his favourite food. As for his tail piercings that I added onto this design, I referenced the ones I added onto the Morris slice as they are similar to Vinx's, making them a little longer and wider to be more accurate to Vinx. I am really happy with how this slice turned out! I feel like it does a good job at capturing his energy and personality as a character. Out of all of the cakes so far, I definitely think Vinx's is one of my favourites, if not my favorite. 🐺🐶
