– This is the place, – Maks said, looking at the ancient stone wall, – The Eldersblood Peak.
It was quite chilly on the snowy mountain’s top. M’Ria was wrapping herself with fur cloak. Despite her knowing of frost resistance spell, it couldn’t protect her from bone-chilling cold as she was barely at apprentice level in magic.
He came closer and brushed away the snow off the wall, revealing wedge writing of dragon language.
– We’ll stuck here for a while, – Maks said to her, turning back, – While I’m researching the writings, set a camp and set the guarding spells as I told you.
– Got it! – M’Ria chimed and hurried to fulfill the request of her mentor and, since the recent past, her lover. While Maks muttered to himself, “...pru-za-an-zun-ko-kei-za-al-los...” which was like some gibberish to her, M’Ria did as ordered – the camp was set, the spells were casted, and she found herself not knowing what to do next. She didn’t want to disturb Maks, so she walked around the camp a bit and even had a light dinner. The sun was setting, amber rays lit the snow-capped mountains. M’Ria glanced at her mentor, who was sitting in front of the wall, obviously meditating. She decided to follow suit and practice magic. And the subject of her practice was obvious – the frost resistance spell.
M’Ria looked around and spotted a thin bridge leading to an observation post, from which a nice view of the forest opened up. She cleared the spot from the snow and put her cloak on it for her to sit. Shivering a bit, she concentrated on the spell, trying to make it stronger. With no living soul around, only they both were sitting, Maks beside the wall, and M’Ria on the bridge, until the sun had set and the night fell. A red stripe of Aetherius divided the darkness of the night Mundus sky; ghostly emerald auroras danced across the firmament, shimmering on blue fur; the Twin Moons, both full, shone brightly, illuminating the landscape. The fairy picture itself tuned M’Ria into an arcane state. As time passed, the young Khajiit felt the icy chill became retreating under the spell effect, much to M’Ria’s relief.
