This stuff is copied from my DA, as I said, I'd still be willing to upload my Hyembs the Dragon content, but if you want stuff on Skin to Scales, it's best to check my DA for that, as well as checking my DA for consistent uploads, responding, etc, it's very hard to keep up with two social medias for me
Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today, I bring you an image of Queen Stonavor! (Also known as Stonavore, Stona, and "Evil Bug Empress of the Seven Moons, Super Supreme Overlord-ess, Queen Stonavor.) So, uh- yeah, I think I'm deciding to like... Mostly do the "Hyembs the Dragon" artwork now on as doodles? Since like... I think it really fits Hyembs a lot more, buuuuut we'll see... This is just a concept doodle of one of the monsters that we've seen a couple times. I think this piece took me about 20-25 minutes to complete?- I'm also going to be blunt with you, the writing took way, way, way longer and it almost took me 45 minutes on that one. Hyembs the Dragon is still meant to be my silly little side-project that I don't take too seriously, but I still had a lot of fun with this one. Anwyays? "I suppose it's no surprise that when it comes to King Oldbeard's ambitions his kingdom suffers in more ways than one. The very idea that he "accidentally" brought down an alien invader shouldn't be that much of a surprise. Queen Stonavar is here to devour the populace and gobble up their brains. The reason she wants to eat brains is apparently no one is allowed to be as smart as her, and by eating someone's brain she believes it will heighten her intelligence. (This is not true.) She is in full belief that she rules the entire "multiverse" and that sacrifices always must be made for the Queen.
As stated, she was brought here by King Oldbeard by complete accident. This is because he was communicating quite a bit with a bunch of cultists who were dressed in worm robes... and they apparently, had a diet that was consistent on baked dirt pies. King Oldbeard, gave them a home in his kingdom and was happily ready to exploit them as much as possible. With a roof over their head and exchanged goods, they gave him knowledge of the stars and various schematics for rituals. King Oldbeard demanded a ritual to be done by the cultists for a Queen who was powerful, smart, cunning, beautiful and could rule the populace with an iron fist.
...Let's say he didn't enjoy the results and casted her into a random garden. He remembers when she was just a small alien worm... Now? She's the size of a castle and believes that it is her turn to usurp the king. She's razor sharp, deadly, and is a bit of a grappler in terms of combat as her coils can even shred through reinforced buildings. Her many tongues can give a dangerous lashing, and her icky slimy spit can slow down any foe. When she's not trying to take over the kingdom or seek out petty revenge on someone small, Hyembs and her seem to get along... Well... As long as she's not trying to eat her brain..."

The universe that Hyembs belongs to does not connect to the greater setting I'm working on of "Skin to Scales" and is meant to be a way more cuddly, cute, silly, and adorable setting in comparison to my main works. "Hyembs the Dragon" is about a pink, airheaded dragon who is the self-proclaimed defender of "Grandiopolis." the last bastion of civilization in a fairy-tale world filled with kaiju and monsters that would want to see it destroyed. A powerful wizard created the dragons, but one day vanished as well as many of his creations decided to defect from defending this world. Hyembs the Dragon woke up centuries late and refuses to deny her absent creator's will and does not wish to see humanity and the good creatures of the world to be destroyed. Her and her Kobold Knights, and new Kaiju friends will defend what's left of the world at all costs from not only the monsters, but making sure King Oldbeard doesn't destroy his own kingdom.

This is just the most incredibly stunning idea for a terrifyingly powerful bug, I flipping love it! Just the way you were able to display such terrifying scale between her and the building really makes this looks so freaking adorable to see from you, and I'm so flipping stoked to seeing more and more of your lovably snuggable and lore-filled works in the future! Keep doing great!
