I just started this by drawing Jynx. I have mentioned once before I don't actively dislike many pokemon, there are some pokemon I prefer over others or am just not that interested in, but for the most part I am pretty happy that they exist to help fill out the world even if they are not for ME personally. Jynx is one of the few exceptions. I am sure it was never Gamefreaks intention to make Jynx to be a racist stereotype, or to offend anybody but that is what Jynx looks like. They had the decency to change Jynx's skin from Black to Purple but Jynx still doesn't even look very good as far as pokemon go.
Anyway I decided to give Jynx a chance and made one minor change to her design which I think improves her look immensely; I gave her a neck.
Then I thought: she looks like she could be related to the Gothitelle line. I am not really a fan of Gothitelle for entirely different reasons, but Gothorita is cute in the same way as Kirlia, so I decided to give this Jynx a little Gothorita pal, who I picture are like an adopted Mother/Daughter duo.
And then I just kept throwing in more purple people pokemon to their group and now we have a little crew of them. Jynx is the Captain, Tsareena is the First mate and lancer to Jynx's leadership role, and Mismagius is the ship's Quartermaster filling in a sort of grandmother-like role along with being a kooky old Sea Witch who delights in scary sea tales.
