[DTUU] Species - Page 2
Dark Times Upon Us - Species - Page 2
The Page 2 of DTUU species shows other dragon variants plus other creatures living around dragons. Including hybrids.
Extra: All Species can variate their sizes! (less the Quetzalcoatl).
Here I explain each specie:
ZILANTS: As I explained back with the Amphiteres, Zilants are dragons like them but with arms. These are more agiles in terms of movement and sneaking, Zilants also tend to have a defensive potition towards dragons as higher rank's tend to bully them as inferiors. Zilants are protective towards their own specie, friendly Wyrms, friendly Lindworms and Amphiteres. Most of them, in the exile, are in tribal status by themselves or with Elixir Dragons (which their behavior is protective around the tribe like a family).
LINDWORMS: Similar to Wyrms but with arms and sharp claws. As Wyrms, they can be hostiles (in the wild) and friendly (in civilization) due to their brains, others are in primal mindset while others are in a more developed mindset. Considered monsters and leeches by the rich ones, Lindworms rather to hide in the shadows from dragons.
HYDRAS: A monster of multiple heads that are usually big, sometimes they born with wings, others without them, some with short tail while others with long ones... and sometimes Hydras that are multiple headed Wyrms. Hydra's heads have 3 heads, but in some cases, they can born 2 headed (considered a fetus development mistake) and the rare cases are more than 4 heads. Hydras are a biiiig world to understand them, their heads can be the same soul separated in multiple brains; they can be different souls for each head and they are individual mindsets. Hydras are uncommon to be seen around the world but depending on their looks and behavior, they are considered dragons with "class" or "fancy" while also can be considered an aberration. Grown around the Pure Lands, Hydras tend to be pretty normal and without conflicts, accepted in other words, while the others grown in the exile... are monsters, no mercy beasts that only care about themselves and their food or offsprings.
KIRINS: No pretty common to be seen, but are a creature part of the fauna of the world. Kirins are hybrids/mixtures between a horse and a dragon, and their brains are in primal mindset, but sometimes they spotted an empathic behavior with some creatures including dragons. They're a mystery, but are also very respected and around the exile, dragons don't want to hunt these precious creatures... unlike Light Dragons.
QUETZALCOATL: There is only ONE spotted roaming around the skies sometimes. A Mystical Guardian around the skies and the own planet, few creatures and dragons could see it in front of them and even chat with them! The Quetzalcoatl is a mystical giant dragon, a feathered Amphitere to be exact, considered a god just like Helios and Selene, but their element is unknown, Time Dragons had an hypothesis that the Quetzalcoatl is actually elemental, their body change depending on the active element... while others just think it's Astral. A mystery for many, but a blessing for the few who met them.
COCKATRICE: Hybrids between a dragon and a gryphon (mostly obligated union), Cockatrices are grown with dragons or the parent that it's a dragon... if both parent are together, they hide their child as Light Dragons or generals would steal them for their family for militar life. Cockatrices are beasts considered higher than dragons in battle, but not in class, they are slaves of war, and considered big weapons in the battlefield as their skin is resistant and their ferocity is duplicated from a normal dragon. They are taught to not listen to anyone but their generals, repressed emotions, no feelings, no mercy, just kill and destroy. Actual parents with a baby cockatrice decide to leave to the exile in secret to avoid this damned and corrupted destiny.
BASILISKS: Same as Cockatrices but a mixture between a Gryphon and an Amphitere, Zilant or Lindworm (depending on which breed was, the Basilisk would have gryphon claws or gryphon wings). These have the same story as Cockatrices but they are taught to be stealthy but effective, rogues in secret missions or just to stalk. But Basilisks grown in the exile, they are blessed or damned by a unique power (regardless their element) and it's the sight of petrify. Wild Basilisks petrify their preys or whoever they look at, but it must have eye contact, to turn their preys into stone.
GRYPHONS: Finally, Gryphons, a beast mixture between a bird and a feline (it tends to be an eagle and a lion but these species have variants). Gryphons can have different elements just like dragons but it works differently, they live alongside dragons but ofc there is rivality with most of them (at least in the Pure Lands), sadly... Gryphons are mostly used, specially females just to be slaves or to reproduce Cockatrices. Light Dragons see them creatures with no rights in the dragon world, they even executed ALL Light Gryphons as the only pure light comes from Light Dragons and Helios... they don't know but they missed one. Gryphons after how they are treated... they developed a defensive and hostile behavior towards all beings, while in the exile, Gryphons are calming and protective, respectful and caring.
PHOENIX: Birds of gods, Phoenixs can be from different elements. They roam free around the lands, some have the ability to talk while others are more just birds. Size usually can identify them, big Phoenixs are civilized while the more little are more in primal mindset. Everyone respects these gorgeous creatures.... unlike some dragons that use them and cage them for fun or resources due their elements. Phoenixs are calming and spiritual, their element and light changes depending on their emotions.
Wanna know more about this? Check the gallery folder for the elements, worldmap, adoptables, cover and even the characters!
This is a project for fun so I'm not taking any pressure doing its content, as this world is linked to my adopts you can see than sooner or later adopts would become these species too :>
Thanks for watching!!!
