Dark Times Upon Us - Species - Page 1

Here we are! Time for Species section :>
The Page 1 shows most of the common dragon species around the world, but all of them are different in behavior and purpose. There'll be more pages do not worry, I need to show the species first before I go to show up their anatomy to help people with a guidance of design and looks.
Extra: All Species can variate their sizes!

Here I explain each specie:
DRAGONS: The common and conquering specie of the lands, dragons! Dragons are quadrupeds with two wings (which is rare to have 4 wings), they are the intimidating and majestic. Dragons as well are very smart to have pass the tribal state to civilized and creative... in all it's nature. They are considered the richest and high rulers of the lands.

DRAKES: Same as dragons but without the ability to fly as they have no wings. Often, dragons consider Drakes inferior and with it, rats; they use them for slavery and hard labor in the lands, dragons take them in the floating islands like the Sun's Cauldron to work in the mines and never leave as they can't fly. It's hard for them to have an easier life if there are dragons around. Outside the Shield of Helios, this kind of behavior is rare to happen, but that grew a huge fear and untrust towards dragons and drakes. But despite all this, Drakes, unlike Dragons, are faster than dragons when it's about running, as Dragons don't exercise much their arms nor legs and their wings are a weight to take. So they are very sneaky!

WYVERNS: Big fellas usually, most of them are giant Mystical guardians. Wyverns are strong in terms of character and temperament but very peaceful and pacifists despite their appearance. Standing in claws connected with their own giant wings, they can variate between bipedal and quadrupedal walk. They are not good runners but in battle you better never provoke them as you may fall easy. Wyverns are dragons of honor too, they respect all living creature until they show the opposite, it's very rare for them to be hostile.

FAE: Usually little tiny fairy dragons! Honey Dragons are mostly from this specie. These live free all around the world, if you see none of them somewhere, it's because the place is dead or toxic. They are kind and are beautiful fireworks at night, they eat insects and nectar, they have anthenas unlike the rest of the species and sometimes they're under a hivemind. Fae dragons are very innocent and are alerters of danger nearby, from their noises but they do not tend to talk.

DRAGONETTES: Tameable but not so easy! Dragonettes are companions like pets for their primal intelligence. They tend to be wild predators all around the lands and they tend to be big, Dragonettes can be food for other dragons or carnivorous species as companions and helpers when it's about taking heavy cargos (if you train them well). It's not usual for them to feel emotions nor simpathy. Dragonettes are bipedal dragons with big legs and shorter arms, their wings can variate their sizes as their looks depending if they're are alphas.

AMPHITERES: Snakes with wings... or dragons without limbs. Amphiteres, like Drakes, are seen inferiors in dragons sight due to the lack of limbs, but they aren't slaved as they can't do much than move, hunt and fly. So as they can't be slaved, they are bullied by dragons (usually Light Dragons or higher ranks). Amphiteres are easy to get reactive as they are mostly defensive, they rather to be alone and sleep peacefully.

WYRMS: Snake dragons I guess, no limbs, no wings. Just like Dragonettes, Wyrms are stuck in primal brain and they usually are big, sometimes like a Wyvern... and that's dangerous. Wyrms are hunted for their flesh and sometimes just for their scales, bones and more for crafting and just trophies. They are very very sneaky as they can camouflage in the landscape, all of them despite their element, have a special venom to paralyze their prey, tangle them until they drown or the venom takes effect and then eat them dead or alive. They are very dangerous predators... it's hard for a dragon to survive in their sight if they aren't well trained.

LUNG: Also known as Eastern Dragons, long body, short limbs, no wings but... they fly?? Then they are considered magical and holy dragons!... despite their element. They are peaceful and have a lot of respect for everyone as Wyverns until it shows the opposite. Lung dragons are more altruistic than most of the dragons around the lands, they look for the healthcare of the others rather than themselves, they are very sneaky and good escapists but they are extremely intelligent when it's about body language and read the meaning behind the voices, the words, the tone... They know what's going on so easily but usually their lips are kept closed unless is really necessary.

SALAMANDERS: They are dangerous monsters but there were rare occassions to meet a pacifist Salamander. They are similar to Lung dragons but multiple limbs, their behavior are mostly hostile but as I said before is a rare case to be a pacific one, their intelligence is mixture, some have primal brains while others are intelligent but have a manipulative and lack of simpathy mindset. They tend to be big dragons and they won't think twice if they're hungry, they eat their prey at sight with one single bite.
