Twilight Soar

Pale full moon garnered the attention of all. A natural spotlight, with barely any clouds to block the view. Spring showers covered the earth in fresh rain, a unique smell. Permeated the senses with indescribable remarks. It was the perfect kind of night, where the earth was soaked just enough. For mist to obscure sight for a short while and coat one in a fair sprinkle. Stars sparkled in their own tune, a symphony across the sky.It was a night perfect for a flight. To zip across the starlight, feel the rush across one's fur. To experience what those of her kin could naturally. For she was not born with the grand ability of wings. Strong appendages to lift her from the world below. To carry her where she pleased. Where she could races across the sky like her Brother. She could only imagine the shenanigans and trouble they would have cause if such a fate had been hers. Yet that was all the would remain, something in her mind. 'If only...' 'If only...'Hokori may not have been kind to herself, in the early years. Spent bargaining with her sibling, to haul her into the sky, drop her in piles of autumn leaves and the pond in the forest. Tattling to their mother, making him do something with her, to be kinder to her. Yet here she was, claws through cloud, wind across her scales. Dress as the stories told of witches, who devoured hatchlings. Who placed curses on Fur folk, deserving or undeserving. Bits of cloth hanging from a corset leotard, whipping in the wind with her dexterous tail. Pointed matching hat, curled backwards in an arch. Riding a broom of wooden carved handle and pink dyed bristles. Petals dropping from the ends, sweeping across the twilight. Here she was, by herself.Hokori ©
